While we do not live in Wisconsin, what happened today in a Milwaukee courtroom should concern us all. Judge Hannah Dugan was arrested by federal officials because she would not allow ICE to remove someone. She asked them if they had a warrant, but they only had an administrative warrant, not a bench warrant. So they arrested her. She is now being charged with obstruction. Please understand that this is how authoritarian regimes work. First they intimidate the law firms, and then they start arresting the judges. Tomorrow it could be senators or members of Congress. I am begging you to speak out publicly. We cannot let this stand.
