Demand Accountability for DOJ's Defiance of the Epstein Files Court Order I'm writing to demand that you use every tool available to you to hold the Department of Justice accountable for defying a federal court order to release records under the Epstein Files Transparency Act. U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan ruled that Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche is violating the law Congress passed nearly unanimously to require release of the Epstein files. The DOJ missed the court's initial deadline to respond, and when it finally did, it refused to comply — asking the judge to delay the order by 60 days or dissolve it entirely, while stating it intends to appeal. The judge noted that by failing to respond on time, the Attorney General effectively conceded the case against him. This isn't a minor procedural dispute. The withheld material reportedly includes records connected to allegations involving minors and interviews tied to Epstein's network. The public has a legal right to this information, and the executive branch does not get to decide for itself which laws it will follow. I'm asking you to: 1. Publicly call for full DOJ compliance with the court's order and the Epstein Files Transparency Act. 2. Use your oversight authority to demand a full accounting from the Department of Justice, including hearings if necessary. 3. Support any judicial contempt proceedings or other legal consequences for officials found to be in violation of the court's order. 4.
