I am writing to you as a constituent who voted for strong leadership that prioritizes the safety and stability of Ohio. Unfortunately, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has failed to deliver that stability. I urge you to publicly call for her resignation immediately. My reasons for this request are not political. Noem should resign due to her incompetence and inability to follow the rule of law. Secretary Noem’s tenure has been marked by chaotic enforcement and a lack of operational discipline that resulted in the tragic deaths of American citizens in Minneapolis. We cannot have a DHS that operates without regard for constitutional rights or public safety protocols. As a Senator representing Ohio, you know that our state needs a reliable workforce and safe communities. The threats of militarized "surges" in places like Springfield are creating panic, destabilizing our local businesses, and threatening the economic revitalization you have both championed. We need order, not the chaos we are seeing under Secretary Noem’s watch. Please put Ohio first. Join the growing number of voices demanding accountability. If Secretary Noem refuses to resign and the House votes to impeach, I ask that you uphold your oath and vote to remove her from office to restore integrity to the Department.
