The close relationship between Donald Trump and UFC officials, particularly Dana White, casts doubt on whether this is an impartial, celebratory gesture—or if there is a financial or political benefit being exchanged behind the scenes. These connections create the perception of a quid pro quo arrangement, which undermines trust in our institutions. Beyond the troubling optics, the implications for national security, taxpayer burden, and the dignity of the presidency cannot be ignored. Hosting a fight card on federal grounds would likely require a reallocation of government resources, from logistics and security to staff time, all while everyday Americans face urgent economic and social issues. This is not how public resources should be spent. Furthermore, the idea that federal property can be used to stage private entertainment events tied to political allies is a dangerous precedent. It blurs the line between governance and political spectacle, and it degrades the integrity of the presidency. I respectfully urge you to: Launch a formal congressional inquiry into the planning and potential financial arrangements of this UFC event. Hold oversight hearings with relevant White House and UFC officials to ensure transparency. Demand a full cost analysis to determine how taxpayer funds may be used. Consider legislation or ethics rules to prevent future misuse of federal property for private or political events. We must protect our national institutions from being used as backdrops for personal gain or political theater. The American people deserve better than a presidency turned into a pay-per-view event.
