I am outraged by the blatant destruction of our government under the so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)—a rogue entity slashing critical programs with zero congressional oversight and no cost savings. This is not efficiency; this is an authoritarian power grab designed to destabilize essential services and consolidate control in the hands of unelected billionaires. DOGE just cut off funding for small farmers—funding that had already been allocated by Congress. These grants were meant to support climate-smart agriculture: fencing to keep out deer, grass waterways to prevent erosion, tree plantings to protect soil. These aren’t radical ideas; they’re basic survival measures that farmers have relied on for decades. Without this funding, farms will fail, food production will suffer, and communities will bear the brunt of unnecessary hardship—all because Elon Musk’s government demolition crew decided to wield their unchecked power. And for what? The Pennsylvania Sustainable Agriculture Association confirmed that DOGE canceled its contract with the CPA52 environmental review team—even though there was NO COST SAVING to the federal government. They cut this program not to save money, but to punish farmers and make their lives harder. If that’s the mission of DOGE, then it is not efficiency—it is intentional sabotage of the American people. Congress did not authorize DOGE. You, as an elected member of Congress, did not vote on it, did not approve it, and yet you are allowing it to wield unchecked power. Why? Are you complicit in this coup? Will you sit back while Musk and Trump dismantle the federal government one sector at a time? DOGE is not about cost-cutting—it’s about authoritarian control. It’s about eliminating oversight, consolidating power, and ensuring that only the wealthiest and most connected can survive. DOGE is tearing this country apart, and if you do not act, you are complicit. I demand that you: 1. Launch an immediate congressional investigation into DOGE’s actions. 2. Restore funding for climate-smart farming and other slashed programs. 3. Introduce legislation to defund and dismantle DOGE before it does any more damage. 4. Publicly denounce this illegitimate agency and its reckless attacks on American livelihoods. Every day DOGE remains in power, it further entrenches an authoritarian oligarchy where billionaires dictate who thrives and who suffers. This is not democracy. This is a coup. And if you refuse to fight back, then you are part of it.
