I am asking you directly: Why are you not standing up for your constituents? Why do you continue to go along with an administration whose actions have repeatedly raised serious legal and constitutional concerns? Why are you not standing up for federal employees, federal agencies, and the public servants who keep our government functioning every day? You were elected to represent the people of your district, not to rubber stamp an administration’s agenda. Federal employees are your constituents too. They deserve representatives who will defend their rights, their jobs, and the agencies they have dedicated their careers to serving. If you want to take one action, just one, to demonstrate that you actually care about the people you represent rather than partisan politics or your own agenda, then help bring H.R. 2550, the Protect America’s Workforce Act, to the floor and vote YES. Help bring it to a vote. Support it publicly. Vote for it. That is the very least you can do to show federal employees and your constituents that their voices matter to you. It would demonstrate that you are willing to stand up for workers and their collective bargaining rights rather than simply going along with whatever this administration demands. Your constituents are watching your actions, not just listening to your words. We will remember who stood up for us and who remained silent when it mattered. If you care about the people you represent, and if you care about earning their votes when you seek reelection, then prove it. Bring H.R. 2550 to the floor and vote YES.
