Please take note that the president has just threatened the lives of several members of congress, including your colleague Senator Slotkin, who have made a video telling the truth, that military service members serve the constitution, not the whims of one man. She is protecting service members by remindin g them that they do not have to follow unlawful or unconstitutional orders, even if a higher-up orders it. The hostile language used by the president is concerning, as this might result in violence, either as directed by the president himself or enacted by oth er citizens who have extreme views. We've seen this happen. This threat calls out for a censure by the full congress. We must all struggle to create civility in our government, especially in these divided times. Please state clearly your opposition to this language, so that we, your constituents, can believe that you represent us and a civil America. If you do no t state your opposition, we must assume that you approve of this language and these threats. oyalty lies with the welfare of those they've been chosen to represent.
