Stop Funding ICE or Be Accountable

To: Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz, Rep. Roy

From: A constituent in Bandera, TX

January 29

I am your constituent, and I am demanding that you vote NO on any bill that provides funding to ICE. ICE is an agency with a documented record of abuse, deadly force, family separation, and systemic disregard for human rights. Its raids terrorize communities, its detention centers inflict harm, and its agents operate with alarming impunity. Continuing to fund ICE is not a neutral budget decision — it is an active choice to enable violence and cruelty. At a time when communities are calling for safety, stability, and dignity, Congress is considering pouring even more money into an agency that has repeatedly shown it cannot be trusted with power or resources. This is unacceptable. Taxpayer dollars should not bankroll mass detention, deportation, and fear. Let me be clear about what I expect from you: - Vote NO on any legislation that increases or sustains ICE funding - Support efforts to dismantle ICE and end its operations - Redirect funds toward humane, community-based services instead of enforcement and incarceration Funding ICE means endorsing its actions. There is no middle ground here. History will remember who chose to protect their constituents — and who chose to protect an abusive agency. Remove ICE from our cities. Stop funding it. Do the right thing.
