“All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.” Despite the clear language of the 14th Amendment establishing birthright citizenship, within days of taking office, Trump issued an executive order purporting to deny citizenship status to those born in the US to noncitizens. The substance of this case is wending its way to the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) has introduced a bill in Congress to prohibit any funding that would go toward carrying out this unconstitutional executive order. I am asking you to co-sign Sen Rosen’s bill.
