I’m writing about the Jeffrey Epstein files and the growing evidence that powerful people, including President Trump and his allies, have been shielded from real accountability. Congress passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act to guarantee real transparency, with narrow protections for victims, not abusers. DOJ’s release so far has been slow, heavily redacted, and inconsistent, while watchdogs and courts are now involved because of concerns that politically sensitive material, including references to President Trump, has been handled differently. This does not look like equal justice under law. It looks like a coverup. Here is what I am asking you to do: • Demand full, bipartisan oversight into DOJ’s handling of the Epstein files, including any effort to hide or sanitize information involving President Trump or other senior officials. • Personally review the unredacted Epstein files made available to members of Congress, and publicly confirm whether you believe DOJ has complied with both the letter and the spirit of the law. • Support fast, public reporting from GAO and the DOJ Inspector General on how these files were processed, redacted, and released. • Use your position, including hearings and subpoena power, to ensure all politically sensitive decisions about these files are exposed and corrected, and that victims are protected, not sacrificed. I do not care which party or who is implicated. I care that a convicted child sex trafficker operated a child trafficking enterprise for years with the help of enablers who may still be protected. That is a direct threat to the rule of law and public trust. I know your loyalty is to the Constitution and your constituents, not to any president or donor network. I am asking you to prove that by fighting for full transparency and accountability in the Epstein case—especially any coverup by the DOJ and Trump administration. Please let me know, specifically, whether you will commit to reviewing the unredacted files, supporting aggressive oversight of DOJ’s handling of them, and backing public hearings that follow the evidence wherever it leads?
