Hi, I’m a constituent from Santa Monica and a member of Indivisible Westside Los Angeles. I want you, as members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, to call on Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Dick Durbin to launch an immediate investigation, including hearings, looking into whether Justice Alito is fit to rule on upcoming cases involving Donald Trump. Recent news reports of Justice Alito having the upside down American flag and the “Appeal to Heaven” flag flying over his home and his beach house reasonably cast doubt on Justice Alito’s ability to be impartial and unbiased. Because Chief Justice John Roberts has allowed these conflicts to go unchecked, the Supreme Court is at its lowest public approval ever—with the public losing trust in the institution's integrity and seeing it as the tool of a partisan right-wing agenda. With the very real possibility that the Justices could decide the 2024 election, the American people need to know the truth. Thank you for your time and attention.
