You are my representative in Congress and there is something you can do for me. Enact Universal Healthcare, HR 3069. According to Yale University, it will save us $1 trillion and 114,000 lives every year. We all get to go to the doctor without going broke. 27 million of us have no insurance and 23% of those with insurance delay going because their deductibles on their catastrophic plans are so high. Both run the risk of delayed treatment, significantly higher costs and worse outcomes - ALL PREVENTABLE. There are global budgets to medical facility cover infrastructure costs so facilities don’t have to cut unprofitable services, like obstetrics and create medical deserts leaving patients in the lurch. There are regional administrators to make sure that there are sufficient facilities and providers to serve communities - not leave them out to dry as so many private equity firms do. BTW we will be able to negotiate drug prices for 340,000,000 of us all at once, that is how to bring down costs. This is the way to make America healthy - make sure all of us can go to the doctor when we need to, have preventive care, and remain as productive as possible. ENACT UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE.
