Please Protect America’s Public Lands — Oppose the Land Sales in the BBB

As an American who cares deeply about our shared natural heritage, I’m writing to urge you to reconsider and oppose the public land sale provisions in the “Big Beautiful Bill” (BBB). The proposal to sell off millions of acres of land managed by the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management is deeply concerning.
These public lands belong to all Americans. They are not just “extra space” — they are vital for outdoor recreation, wildlife habitat, clean water, rural economies, and future generations. Once sold, these lands are gone forever, often locked behind private gates or developed in ways that erase their natural value.
Conservatives and outdoor enthusiasts alike cherish these spaces. The federal government should be protecting public lands, not treating them as disposable assets. Even if these lands aren’t in Georgia or New York, they still matter to every American who believes in freedom, public access, and the right to enjoy the outdoors.
Please use your leadership to stand with the American people by:
• Removing the public land sale provisions from the BBB;
• Promoting access, stewardship, and conservation of our national landscapes;
• And ensuring that our public lands remain in public hands.
We can grow the economy and strengthen America without selling off what makes it great.
Thank you for your time and service.
