YOUR SILENCE IS BECOMING YOUR RECORD! STAND UP FOR YOUR CONSTITUENTS
To: Sen. Hawley, Sen. Schmitt
From: A verified voter in Kansas City, MO
August 19
This is your weekly reminder: you will not earn reelection by standing by while Russell Vought and this administration dismantle the federal government, attack federal employees, and undermine the agencies and programs Americans depend on.
You were elected to represent your constituents. Not one man. Not one administration. Not one political party. Your responsibility is to the people who live in your district and the millions of Americans who rely on the federal services their tax dollars fund.
We pay taxes to support these agencies and programs. We expect them to function. We expect the people we elect to protect them from reckless political attacks and ideological efforts to dismantle them. When you allow qualified federal employees to be pushed out, agencies to be gutted, and essential programs to be weakened, real people suffer.
And we are watching.
Russell Vought and this administration have made their intentions toward the federal workforce and federal agencies abundantly clear. What we need from you is not silence, excuses, or partisan loyalty. We need you to stand up and represent the people who elected you.
You have time to show us that you actually care about your constituents. You have time to demonstrate that you will defend federal employees, protect essential federal agencies and programs, and push back against actions that are devastating the government and the people who depend on it.
So consider this your weekly reminder:
Start standing up. Start speaking out. Start representing your constituents.
Because if you continue allowing this administration to attack federal employees and dismantle the government without meaningful opposition from you, you should not expect those same constituents to forget it when election time comes.
Your constituents are paying attention. We deserve a representative who will stand up for us, not simply stand behind the president.
The choice is yours. Show us what side you’re on.
