Sign letter to Protect NCAR

To: Sen. Curtis, Sen. Lee, Rep. Kennedy

From: A verified voter in Sandy, UT

December 19

I am your constituent, a Utahn, and a PhD Atmospheric Scientist. I am extremely concerned about threats to the future of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). NCAR's research, modeling and infrastructure are of critical national importance. NCAR delivers tangible benefits to communities and industries around the country through improved weather forecasting, disaster preparedness, agricultural productivity, water management, and many other priorities critical for our economy and for public safety. I urge you to sign on to a bipartisan, bicameral letter currently being led by Reps. Neguse (D-CO) and Hurd (R-CO). The deadline to sign on to this letter is 10am today 12/19. Visit Quill Senate to sign. I further urge you to include strong language in the FY 2026 Commerce-Justice-Science appropriations bill that would protect NCAR and preserve its essential work. Thank you for your support!
