An Open Letter

Social Security can achieve enough funding to remain solvent for the next 75 years if the income cap is raised/scrapped so that, as in the past, at least 90% of income is subject to the tax; PLUS investment income should be taxed just like income from labor. In 1983, 90% of income from labor was taxed; in 2023, it was 82% because the percentage of income going to the super-wealthy over the cap is not subject to the SS tax. I hope my federal officials will publicly promote these changes and "whip" their colleagues to do the same, viz., scrap the cap AND tax investment income. This Video From Robert Reich Explains It All! 💪🏾 https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1d5TtxLVek/ I await your reply.
