I’m writing to express my alarm about the Trump administration's unauthorized military strikes in Venezuela and dangerous escalation toward an illegal and unnecessary war. As a member of Congress, I request that you call for the following and do your job of oversight. - immediately pass a war powers resolution to block all unauthorized strikes or military action in Venezuela, - hold public hearings to investigate the legality and justification for the administration's aggressive use of military force, - call for the impeachment of Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, - demand the resignation of Marco Rubio as Secretary of State, and - support articles of impeachment and move to convict Trump for his repeated defiance of the law. Congress must start to do your job. How much farther towards the path of full authoritarianism must you see before you finally act??
