An Open Letter

To: Rep. Gutierrez, Sen. Sundareshan, Rep. Mathis

From: A constituent in Tucson, AZ

May 24

Bathroom access bills that target transgender individuals are discriminatory and harmful. They deny basic human dignity and put already vulnerable people at increased risk of harassment and violence. Many respected health organizations like the American Medical Association have condemned such measures as having no basis in evidence and creating problems rather than solving any. As representatives, it is crucial to listen to medical experts and prioritize public safety over discrimination. I urge you to oppose any legislation restricting bathroom access based on gender identity or expression. These misguided bills only breed fear, intolerance, and put lives in danger while providing no tangible benefits. Please stand up for the rights and wellbeing of all your constituents by rejecting these hateful proposals.
