I appreciate your responses to my concerns in many ways, but I take issue with one thing. Many of your responses end with a paragraph that tells me to "rest assured." I can not do that. Very little in the last decade has given me any suggestion that I can be assured of anything. While individual representatives can have good intentions, the reality is that Congress is not working. he sand any more. Whether it's gridlock, ideological discordance, outsized donor influence, or the simple fact that actual genocide is not a line in t People are getting murdered and disappeared by federal goons with no accountability, families are threatened, And corporate greed is running rampant. The system is, frankly, fucked. Actual Nazis are in places of power and the people who are supposed to represent progressives are too milquetoast to even call that out. So, no, I can't rest assured about anything.
