I am a Colorado resident, voter, and Medicaid Buy-In recipient who depends on long-term support services. I am writing to ask you to oppose Paragon’s Proposed Medicaid Checklist because it would likely make life harder for qualified people who rely on Medicaid for essential care.
I understand the importance of protecting taxpayers and stopping fraud. I support that goal. But Paragon’s approach goes too far when it adds barriers that can cause eligible people to lose coverage or services because of administrative problems rather than because they are ineligible.
For someone in my position, coverage is not a luxury. It is the foundation that helps me remain stable, receive care, and keep functioning in everyday life. A policy that increases paperwork or verification burdens can create real harm for honest beneficiaries without solving the underlying problem.
I urge you to oppose Paragon’s approach and support Medicaid reforms that preserve access for vulnerable Coloradans while targeting actual misuse.
