Please protect the integrity of federally funded clinical research. Clinical trials should be selected and managed through independent, expert scientific review—not political priorities. Patients with cancer, rare diseases, disabilities, mental illness, and other serious conditions depend on stable, evidence-based research. Allowing political appointees to override merit-based funding decisions risks disrupting ongoing studies, discouraging innovative research, and delaying new treatments. Please oppose any changes that weaken independent peer review or inject politics into decisions about clinical research funding. Americans deserve a research system guided by scientific excellence and patient need.
