The United States government has provided Israel with an astonishing $6.5 billion in military assistance since October, enabling Israel's ongoing campaign of extermination against the Palestinian people living in Gaza. This equates to nearly $25 million in weapons and military aid being funneled to Israel each day on average over the past 264 days. This colossal flow of arms from the U.S. has empowered Israel to inflict immense violence and suffering, carrying out horrific massacres that have claimed the lives of over 1,200 Palestinian civilians, including hundreds of children. The shipments have continued unabated despite numerous experts stating that such military support violates U.S. laws and directly implicates the U.S. in the grave war crimes and human rights violations being perpetrated against the Palestinian population. Among the atrocities enabled by this pipeline of American weaponry is the bombing of a school that served as a shelter for hundreds of Palestinian families, which killed at least 12 civilians, including two children. It is imperative that the United States government immediately halts all military aid and arms transfers to Israel until it definitively ceases its indiscriminate violence, ends its illegal occupation, and abandons its genocidal policies systematically targeting and oppressing the Palestinian people.
