As my representative in Congress, please sponsor a practical human-security agenda for Central Illinois families. Our region needs affordable health care, functioning rural hospitals, more housing, reliable infrastructure, strong public schools, support for small farms and businesses, protection from monopolies, and jobs that provide enough income and stability to raise a family. Please support legislation that lowers medical and prescription costs, expands the supply of affordable housing, restores a permanent refundable child tax credit, strengthens rural broadband and electrical infrastructure, protects workers from wage theft, and gives small farms and businesses a fair opportunity to compete against concentrated corporate power. I also ask you to support enforceable congressional ethics rules, disclosure of lobbying and political spending, and a ban on individual stock trading by members of Congress and senior federal officials. Please hold a public listening session in the Peoria area and provide constituents with a written list of the specific bills you will sponsor or support in each of these areas.
