Trump is risking war with China by blockading the Strait of Hormuz. One man should not have the authority in the US to start a war with the world's largest power, and one that owns so much of our debt as well. That should require an act of Congress, which hopefully Congress would not be foolish enough to do. The Democrats have vowed to keep bringing the question of Trump's war powers to the vote every week, and I call on you as my elected official to support them in the next vote. He is not competent enough to make these decisions on his own, and he is risking our country's safety and livelihood to satisfy his ego. Congress must take control of the war and deescalate the conflict.
