I am writing to ask plainly what are you doing right now to stop ICE? Congress controls funding, oversight, and accountability. Silence or statements of concern are not enough. I want to know what concrete actions you are taking to rein in ICE, limit its funding, protect due process, and defend the rights of citizens and non citizens alike. History will not be kind to leaders who saw this coming and failed to act. Please tell me specifically what steps you are taking. I expect a response.
