Block Trump's executive order on mail voting. It is flatly unconstitutional — the Elections Clause gives states and Congress authority over federal election rules, full stop. The president has no legal power to rewrite those rules by decree, and this order needs to be stopped before it does lasting damage.
The order would direct USPS to refuse delivery of mail ballots from voters not on error-prone federal lists compiled from databases never designed for this purpose. The SAVE program alone has a well-documented record of mistakenly flagging American citizens as noncitizens. Elderly, disabled, and overseas voters who depend on mail ballots would bear the worst of it, and many would never even know their vote wasn't counted. On top of that, the order threatens election officials and vendors with criminal prosecution for simply doing their jobs.
The Brennan Center and other organizations are already challenging this in court, just as they successfully challenged Trump's March 2025 election order. I need you to use every legislative tool available to defund implementation of this order, hold oversight hearings, and make clear that Congress will not allow the executive branch to seize control of how Americans vote.
