EVICT ICE! EVICT NYS Regional ICE from 250 Delaware AVE Buffalo Now

To: Assembly Member Conrad, Sen. Ortt, Gov. Hochul

From: A constituent in North Tonawanda, NY

September 25

Uniland leases 250 Delaware to ICE. The lease expires March 31, 2027. We are a coalition of Buffalonians calling on Uniland to EVICT ICE from taxpayer-funded property. It is unpopular with New York State residents to have NYS ICE HQ at 250 Delaware Ave in downtown Buffalo. The Regional NYS Office at 250 Delaware Avenue oversees the Batavia detention camp & expansion by 100 beds. $9.6 million in public tax breaks from the ECIDA (Erie County Industrial Development Agency) with an annual tax abatement worth nearly $525,000. The Montante family collects $2m in federal tax dollars annually from ICE. We demand Gov Hochul prevent ICE NYS regional office from leasing taxpayer funded property to ICE or Border Patrol. We demand Gov Hochul investigate murder committed by ICE in NYS. We demand NY no longer comply with ICE or BP, including allowing detention camps on public property or in areas local areas are affected.
