I'm calling on you to introduce legislation holding Elon Musk personally liable for damages caused by his role in the so-called Department of Government Efficiency. This isn't a legitimate government agency. It's one billionaire wielding unprecedented power over federal operations with zero accountability.
Musk is making decisions that will disrupt essential services millions of Americans depend on. When federal employees are fired en masse and agencies can't function, real people suffer real consequences. When veterans can't access benefits, when Social Security checks are delayed, when food safety inspections stop happening, Musk should pay for the harm he's causing.
He's not an elected official. He's not confirmed by the Senate. He's a private citizen who bought his way into dismantling our government. If his reckless experiments fail, taxpayers shouldn't foot the bill for the cleanup. Make him personally liable. Create a legal mechanism to sue him directly for damages. He wants to run government like a business? Then he can face the same liability any CEO would face for gross negligence.
This is about basic accountability. No one should be above the law, especially not an unelected billionaire playing with people's livelihoods.
