Demand that the National Park Service halt construction of "The Claw" immediately and require Trump and his family to personally cover any damage to White House grounds. This is the people's house. It is not a venue for a billionaire's birthday party. What's happening here is brazen corruption. Trump purchased TKO stock earlier this spring, and now a 92-foot, 600-ton steel structure — taller than the White House itself — is being erected on the South Lawn for a UFC event where VIP tickets are selling for up to $1.5 million each. A federal lawsuit filed this past Saturday argues the event violates NPS regulations, requires Congressional approval that was never sought, and exploits a special rule meant for the nation's 250th anniversary celebration — a rule this for-profit, privately organized event doesn't even qualify for. The White House lawn belongs to every American. If this event goes forward and tears it up, Trump should pay for it out of his own pocket — not taxpayers. Congress has the authority to act here. Use it.
