Immediately open a full investigation into Donald Trump’s unauthorized military action in Venezuela and the role that major oil companies may have played in it!
Trump launched strikes without congressional authorization while publicly stating that American oil companies would profit from rebuilding and extracting Venezuela’s oil resources. Trump’s own statements raise serious concerns that oil executives were informed about planned military action before Congress was.
This is especially troubling given Big Oil’s record under the Trump tax law. Over its first five years, major oil companies paid effective federal tax rates far below the statutory 21% rate and, in many cases, lower than what average households paid. At the same time, these companies spent hundreds of billions of dollars on stock buybacks to further enrich their wealthy shareholders instead of investing in workers, consumers, or clean energy.
You🫵 must determine whether oil executives received advance notice of military action, whether they lobbied for escalation, and whether they expect to profit from war and regime change in Venezuela. That requires subpoenas, sworn testimony, and full disclosure of internal communications.
No corporation should have greater access to war planning than the elected representatives of the American people.
Act NOW to defend Congress’ constitutional authority, democratic accountability, and the public interest!
