I am resentful about the move to strip citizenship from naturalized citizens. As you are also naturalized, I’d expect you to speak out against any move, administrative or legislative, that threatens to strip U.S. citizenship from naturalized Americans. Citizenship earned through the legal process must not be conditional. If laws are broken, accountability should come through the justice system but not through revocation of status.
This issue hits close to home. My grandparents were naturalized citizens, and millions of others—including community leaders, veterans, and taxpayers—are now at risk. Stripping citizenship opens a dangerous door. Power like that must be used with extreme caution.
I urge you to:
Publicly oppose any policy that enables denaturalization without due process.
Call on the administration to halt any such efforts immediately.
Support legislation that reinforces the permanence and protection of citizenship.
Please act now to defend the integrity of our democracy and the rights of all Americans.
