Common sense gun laws like universal background checks, safe storage requirements, and red flag laws have proven effective in other states at keeping firearms out of the wrong hands. However, a patchwork of state regulations is insufficient - we need nationwide protections. Inaction at the federal level has allowed this epidemic of gun violence to persist for too long.
