So proud of America this morning. Why? Because the citizens gathered yesterday all across the country and the world in “Hands Off” protests validated my belief that we would not bow down to powers seemingly intent on destroying the country that we the people believe in.
We rose up. We will continue to rise up. We will not surrender to anyone trying to take away rights promised to us by our Constitution. No matter the tactics used.
We the people have the power. We showed that by showing up, protesting the destruction of, and chaos injected into, our lives by one man and the self-serving party that enables him.
One man who jetted off to his private resort to play gold on the taxpayer’s dime while world markets tumbled. Tumbled as a result of his actions, and his alone. He played golf. Issuing statements periodically on how well he played.
This is the behavior of someone detached from the reality of his actions. Detached from the circumstances and realities of ordinary citizen’s lives. Detached from anything and everything but himself. He needs to be stopped.
“Scholars often note that the American Revolution of 250 years ago was a movement not to change the status quo but to protect it. The colonists who became revolutionaries sought to make sure that patterns of self-government established over generations could not be overturned by officials seeking to seize power.”
We seem to be at it again….
What will you do to help?
