Jeffries is hot out the gates saying “Americans don’t want to get even” and “No house members have been demanding impeachment”. Schumers first message to Americans was “relief is on the way.” Obama was preaching how americans want unity. I want to be crystal clear: I WANT ACCOUNTABILITY AND JUSTICE. I believe impeachment, prosecutions, and law changes are the only way to get them. Yes, it is important the Democratic party take this majority and get things done. Yes it is important to stop this absurd war and roll back these illegal tariffs to control costs. But these people have attacked American democracy, perverted justice, and killed people- whether by the bullets of ICE, or the disease in the concentration camps, or our food, or our water, or AI misinformation. Furthermore, NO meaningful progressive legislation can survive in our polluted information and political environment. Tackling the corruption and injustice in a serious and enduring way is a necessary prerequisite to passing meaningful good legislation for Americans. This CANNOT stand. As Warnock says: we can walk and chew gum. Go get those assholes.
