As you are aware, these resolutions were introduced in response to the catastrophic humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza, where tens of thousands of civilians have been killed and millions displaced. The famine and suffering caused by ongoing military operations demand urgent moral and political accountability. While 24 senators voted in favor of blocking the sale of $700 million worth of bombs and JDAMs, and 27 supported halting the transfer of assault rifles, your vote against these measures stands in stark contrast to the growing call for justice and restraint. Forty Democrats signed a letter expressing alarm over starvation in Gaza, yet only a portion followed through with their vote. This disconnect between stated concern and legislative action is troubling. The United States has long been a key supplier of arms to Israel, and with that comes a responsibility to ensure those weapons are not used in ways that violate international law or contribute to mass civilian suffering. Voting against these resolutions sends a message that humanitarian concerns are secondary to political alliances, even when those alliances result in devastating consequences for innocent lives. I urge you to reconsider your stance and publicly support efforts to condition military aid on adherence to human rights standards. Standing behind the letter you signed means aligning your votes with your stated values. Arizona constituents deserve representation that reflects both compassion and courage in the face of injustice. Please take a stand for peace, accountability, and the protection of human life.
