Your vote for that “anti-socialism” resolution was ridiculous. It was political theater nothing more and everyone sees it. While the country is dealing with real problems, you’re spending your time taking symbolic swings to placate corporate donors and so called "reasonable Republicans". What makes it even worse is what you don’t speak up about. We’ve heard dangerously escalating rhetoric from President Donald Trump openly calling for execution of your fellow democratic congress members yet there’s no urgent resolution from you denouncing that. Funny how performative outrage only seems to show up when it’s convenient. Meanwhile, leaders who actually focus on improving people’s material lives are the ones inspiring voters. Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani has become a national figure for a reason, and Senator Bernie Sanders remains one of the most popular senators in the country. Democratic socialists are winning support because they’re talking about housing, healthcare, wages, and the things that actually matter not meaningless culture-war posturing. Your vote makes it clear you’re out of step with where a lot of your constituents are heading. If you keep choosing theatrics over substance, don’t be surprised when you face a serious primary challenge. People are tired of elected officials who punch left while ignoring real threats to democracy. It’s time to rethink your priorities.
