Reject Sore Loser Trump’s 2020 Election Lies and Protect our 2026 Vote!

To: Sen. Stanford, Gov. Ferguson, Rep. Duerr, Rep. Kloba

From: A verified voter in Bothell, WA

July 16

I am writing about the President's prime-time address on newly declassified intelligence that the White House claims shows foreign interference in the 2020 election. Do not be distracted by the 2020 framing. The 2020 election is settled. More than 60 lawsuits were rejected by state and federal courts. Ballot audits, election officials of both parties, and the President's own first-term Justice Department found no outcome-altering fraud. The federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency called it the most secure election in American history. Nothing selectively declassified six years later changes that record. The real target is November 2026. By recasting 2020 as stolen and voting machines as compromised, the administration is building a pretext to contest midterm results it does not like, to justify federal seizure of state election administration, and to attack mail-in voting, which entire states, including Washington, Oregon, Utah, and Colorado, use for every voter. Federal courts have already blocked the President's executive order rewriting election rules. A White House task force is now preparing to release selectively declassified documents in the months before the midterms. This is groundwork, not oversight. Members of both parties should recognize the danger. A doctrine that lets the executive branch declare elections fraudulent threatens every member of Congress, from either party, whose name appears on a ballot. I ask you to: 1. Publicly reject, on the record, any claim that the 2020 election was stolen or that foreign actors altered votes, and refuse to treat selectively declassified material as established fact. 2. Demand full release of the cited intelligence, with underlying sourcing, to the relevant congressional committees for independent verification. 3. Commit now, before the midterms, to opposing any federal effort to restrict mail-in voting, impose new proof-of-citizenship requirements, seize state election authority, or delay or contest the certification of the 2026 results. The Constitution assigns election administration to the states. Protect it. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.
