Impeach Trump now!
To: Rep. Davis
From: A constituent in Nashville, NC
April 7
I am your constituent, and I am calling on you to initiate impeachment proceedings against President Donald J. Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.
Unauthorized Military Action
The executive branch has conducted military strikes against sovereign nations without a congressional declaration of war and without presenting the American people with credible, verifiable justification. This directly violates Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution and the War Powers Resolution.
Incitement to Genocide and War Crimes
President Trump has made public statements constituting incitement to genocide and endorsement of war crimes — violations of the Geneva Conventions and the Genocide Convention, to which the United States is a signatory. These are matters of public record, not partisan interpretation.
Dereliction by Senior Officials
Vice President Vance and Secretary Hegseth have neither condemned these statements nor taken action to check this conduct. Their silence is tacit endorsement. Secretary Hegseth, as civilian head of the DoD, bears direct responsibility for ensuring operations comply with domestic and international law. He has failed that duty.
My Ask
The impeachment power exists for exactly this moment. I am asking you to:
∙ Publicly support impeachment proceedings against all three officials
∙ Demand an independent review of unauthorized military operations
∙ Vote to reassert congressional war powers
The Constitution is only as strong as the elected officials willing to enforce it. I am watching your response — and so is history.
Respectfully,
