Pass a full ban on individual stock trading for all members of Congress and their immediate family members. The current system is broken — lawmakers with access to classified briefings and pending legislation have no business trading stocks in the industries they regulate. This isn't a partisan issue. It's a corruption issue. The STOCK Act was supposed to fix this, but it didn't go nearly far enough. Members on both sides of the aisle have repeatedly traded in sectors directly affected by legislation they were voting on. Every day this continues, public trust in government erodes further. Require divestment or blind trusts — full stop. No more half-measures.
