I understand Senator Adam Schiff has called on Congress to investigate whether President Donald Trump engaged in insider trading or market manipulation when he abruptly paused a sweeping set of tariffs. President Trump posted “THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO BUY!!!” on Truth Social minutes after the market opened on Wednesday. Then the S&P 500 surged more than 9% Wednesday after Trump announced the tariff pause. I urge you to join him in calling for an investigation. This certainly looked like insider trading or perhaps other illegal financial transactions. Is this an example of corruption? It certainly appears that we need a ban on Congressional stock trading. This kind of profiting off of governmental policy needs to stop. We, the people, will thank you and your peers for providing some guardrails on this type of manipulation.
