The ongoing siege and blockade of Gaza by Israel is exacerbating an already dire humanitarian crisis in the region. According to reports, 111 people, most of them children, have succumbed to malnutrition since the recent conflict began. A staggering 43 of these deaths occurred just this past week, signaling a sharp escalation in the deprivation of essential food and medical supplies to the besieged population. This man-made catastrophe is unacceptable and must be addressed immediately. Urgent action is needed to lift the blockade and allow for the free flow of aid, food, medicine and other vital resources into Gaza. The starvation and suffering of civilians, particularly the most vulnerable children, cannot be allowed to continue. I urge you to use your position of influence to pressure Israel to end this inhumane policy and avoid further loss of innocent lives.
