As your constituent, I urge you to vote NO on H.J. Res 140. This resolution would overturn the 20-year mining ban protecting the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness watershed from toxic sulfide-ore copper mining. The Boundary Waters is America’s most-visited wilderness, and this sets a dangerous precedent that would make all public land protections vulnerable to reversal. Protect the Boundary Waters and vote NO on H.J. Res 140. It is ridiculous that a message needs to be sent out about this. Why are we voting to destroy our land? Please do something good and vote no. You took these positions to represent the people. Prove you’re not another corrupt politician and listen to your constituents.
