Vote No on the Save America Act

To: Sen. Schiff, Sen. Padilla

From: A verified voter in Cathedral City, CA

March 17

Vote no on the Save America Act. This bill is being sold as election security, but it's a solution in search of a problem. Experts confirm that undocumented immigrants voting in federal elections is exceedingly rare, yet this legislation would create barriers that make it harder for eligible citizens to exercise their right to vote. The president is threatening to withhold his endorsement from anyone who opposes this bill and refuses to sign any other legislation until it passes. That's not how our democracy should work. Lawmakers should vote based on what's right for their constituents, not out of fear of political retribution. The amended version now includes bans on mail-in ballots, which millions of Americans rely on to participate in elections. Restricting access to voting doesn't strengthen our democracy. It weakens it. I need you to stand firm against this bill and protect every eligible voter's access to the ballot box.
