I am writing to you as a concerned citizen who is deeply troubled by ongoing reports and credible allegations regarding former President Donald Trump’s conduct. These concerns include potential child sex abuse, violations of the Emoluments Clause, and broader patterns of corruption.
There is credible evidence that warrants a thorough and independent investigation. Yet, according to public statements, the Director of the FBI has indicated that he intends to stay in his lane and not act on these matters. This is not acceptable.
In a separate but equally serious matter, President Trump falsely claimed to have contacted the Governor of California before deploying military forces into the state. This was not true and reflects a troubling pattern of using the military and federal law enforcement against American citizens who are lawfully exercising their right to protest. Deploying the military without proper coordination or justification is an abuse of power. It undermines the foundational principle that the military should be under civilian control and used only in accordance with the law.
Any acts of rounding up protesters without warrants or due process are clear violations of constitutional rights. These incidents are not isolated. They reflect a larger and more dangerous disregard for the rule of law and for the democratic values this country stands for.
I am asking you to do the following:
1. Support or initiate a full congressional investigation into these serious allegations
2. Demand accountability from federal law enforcement agencies and their leadership
3. Defend the constitutional rights of all Americans, including their right to protest and be free from unlawful detention
As your constituent, I am calling on you to pursue truth, uphold justice, and protect democracy. No one is above the law.
