CNN reports that the Executive branch is looking for ways to strip transgender Americans of their Second Amendment rights. Given that transgender members of our military have been forced out, and have had benefits denied despite years of honorable service, this seems a likely next step in denying trans Americans the same rights that others share. I have family and friends who are transgender, and I implore you to put a stop to any further actions that threaten their safety and rights. Please do not sacrifice transgender Americans in our collective fight against the Executive branch’s overreach. Too many so-called moderate Democrats are willing to do so, and that is unacceptable to trans family and friends like me.
