 I am your constituent who voted for you and am deeply, deeply concerned about the actions of Trump and Elon Musk. It’s obvious Trump and Musk are dismantling our government. Musk is an unelected South African who is a private citizen taking control of our government. He’s performed a coup by entering our national payment system and accessing personal information and benefits that belong to me and other citizens, as well as classified national security materials. The fact that a private citizen has taken control of our government systems is terrifying. On what planet would this be OK? This is outrageous and I would like to know what you’re doing to fight against these actions. This is NOT normal politics. Democrats should not be playing nice. Democrats like me feel there is nowhere near enough pushback from our elected officials and leaders. I feel as my NM representative you and the other U.S. state reps in New Mexico should be speaking up every day in our local news outlets. Shouldn’t you be putting out responses /press releases to the unlawful decisions by Trump and Musk and their coup and posting them to your website EVERY DAY (the last ones were in January and I see NO responses to any of the radical decisions being made by Trump and unelected President Musk this past two weeks) so we know where you stand and what you’re doing to fight back? What is your pushback to federal freezes, purges and firings, the shut down of USAID, tariffs that would deeply affect us, the deportation of immigrants and birthright citizenship, workers’ rights, and the MOST terrifying access of our public information? The list goes on and on. Why not call for Musk’s ouster and decry DOGE? There’s no such legitimate agency with the power to make decisions about and run our government! Why not have field press conferences in REPUBLICAN districts to get TV coverage and bring attention to what’s going on to the many uninformed citizens there? We’re counting on you to find ways to join with other Democrats to be on the front line against all this domestic terrorism! We are feeling helpless and need your voices! That’s why we elected you all. There is a war against the American people and we need our leaders to do something, please, to at least TRY to save us. I dare you to reign in this madness.
