Hunting grounds, recreational areas, and public lands will face privatization and commercial exploitation without any congressional or public consent. Taxpayers will foot a higher bill as the agency becomes dependent on expensive contractors. These are not hypothetical risks — they are the predictable result of dismantling a federal agency in defiance of the law. I want you to halt all USFS reorganization activity until statutory notification and approval requirements are met, hold oversight hearings, direct a GAO investigation into the cost and legality of this plan, and refer potential violations of the Anti-Deficiency Act to appropriate oversight bodies.
