His continued imprisonment constitutes a grave violation of human rights and threatens to disrupt essential healthcare access for thousands of Palestinians. As a respected medical professional dedicated to alleviating suffering, Dr. Abu Safia's detention is unjustifiable and amounts to collective punishment of the Palestinian people he serves. His immediate and unconditional release must be secured to uphold human rights and humanitarian principles.
