As your constituent I want you to know about the damage this current administration is doing. Then I want you to seize Congressional authority back and fund what we the people need funded. Cornell University researchers developed a device, PediaFlow, to save infants born with a hole in their heart. You can read about it here, https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6292205/. One in 100 babies in the U.S. are born with heart defects, and about a quarter of them need surgery or other procedures in their first year to survive, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. World wide 240,000 babies die of this yearly. Cornell received a grant of about $6 million over 4 years to finish testing the device before it could become available. DOGE cancelled the finding. Staff will be laid off shortly and children will die. I am fed up with this. I want you to take back congressional authority and fund the projects that we the people need funded.
