Reject Discriminatory SAVE Act, Uphold Voting Rights
To: Sen. Murray, Sen. Cantwell
From: A constituent in Vancouver, WA
April 15
The SAVE Act seeks to restrict voting rights by requiring strict proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections. This measure would disproportionately disenfranchise minorities, the elderly, and other vulnerable groups who may lack easy access to accepted forms of ID. Such barriers undermine democracy and prevent eligible citizens from exercising their fundamental right to vote. I urge you to reject this discriminatory and undemocratic legislation that creates unnecessary obstacles to voting. Protecting the integrity of elections does not justify suppressing the votes of lawful citizens. Every eligible American deserves an equal opportunity to participate in our democratic process without facing discriminatory hurdles. Please uphold voting rights and oppose the SAVE Act.
